TSPSC DME Recruitment of (274) Assistant Professor Posts

TS Public Service Commission (TSPSC) has released recruitment notification for filling up of (274) Assistant Professors in Director of Medical Education (DME) Department in Telangana State!

Online applications are invited from the eligible candidates for the post of  Assistant professors in DME.

Assistant Professors

  1. Non-Clinical Departments - 94
  2. Clinical Departments - 96
  3. Super Specialty Departments - 64
  4. Dental Department - 20
The candidate age should be between 18 years to 44 years as on 01.07.2017.
The upper age limit relaxation is applicable as per Government rules.

As per UGC guidelines, an Assistant Professors can get Rs. 15,600/- as a basic pay and other allowances will follow.

Education Qualification and Experience:

As per the Medical Council of India (MCI) recognized candidates should have the following qualification in their respective system

Along with qualification, the candidate must have the following registrations.
  1. Candidate should be registered under Telangana state Dentists registration tribunal (TSDRT) (OR)
  2. Registered under combined AP State Dental Council (APSDC) validity up to 31.12.2017 (OR)
  3. Enrollment Certificate for registration issued by Telangana State Dentists Registration Tribunal.
Candidates have to pay Rs. 200 towards online application processing fee.

Procedure for Selection:

the selection will be made with two categories
  •  Academic and research Performance Record
  • Interview
The selection will be based on Academic and Research Performance record points and interview points. Who is having the best Academic and Research Performance they called for Interview in the ratio 1:2.
The points are shown hereunder:
Academic and research performance record (70 Points)
1. MBBS Degree  (Maximum 20 points)
  • Distinction (75% and above): 20 points
  • First class (60% and above): 15 points
  • Pass (50% and above): 10 points
2.Broad Specialty (MS/MD/DNB): (Maximum 10 points)
3.Super Specialty: (Maximum 05 points)
4.Publications: (Maximum 20 Points)
Full-length articles in peer reviewed and indexed journals

  • International: 5 points for a 1st author, 2 points for a 2nd author.
  • National: 2 points for a 1st author, 1 point for a 2nd author.
5. Paper presented at conferences: (Maximum 10 points)

  •  International: 05 Points each
  •  National: 02 points each.
  •  State level: 01 points each.
6.Teaching Experience (After finishing requisite qualification): Maximum 05 points at the rate of 1 point for the completion of each academic year.

Research publications:

  1. Original research articles papers publish in National/International Specialty journal of society that is indexed in Scopus, Pubmed, Medicine, Embase /Excerpta Medica, Index Medicus and index Copernicus are only considered.
  2. The Research papers presented in International, National, Annual State conferences of the concerned specialities and allied Specialities are only considered. 
  3. Articles published e-journals are not considered
  4. Only first and second authors are concerned.
Interview Performance: 30 points.

Note: Candidate may be obtained marks sheet from the TSPSC by paying an amount of Rs. 200 through online in "favour of the Secretary, TS Public Service Commission, Hyderabad"

How to submit DME Assistant Professors application posts through TSPSC?

  1. Submission of application through online is 16.09.2017.
  2. Candidate needs to visit TSPSC website for online submission.
  3. Click on Assistant Professor's application link to start submission.
  4. After finding the correct data he/she should click on submit button and the page will lead to the online payment system.
  5. Once payment is done take the print out the entire application.
  6. Candidate should submit an application along with relevant documents in bound booklet format in triplicate (3 copies) to "the Secretary, Telangana state Public Service Commission, Prathibha Bhavan, Nampally, Hyderabad - 500001" by Registered Post/In Person.
How to register TSPSC One Time Registration (OTR)?
  1. Candidate first registers themselves in TSPSC OTR registration form.
  2. If the candidate is new to the OTR registration, he/she should keep ready all academic and other relevant certificates for registration.
  3. After completion of OTR registration process, a TSPSC ID and Password will be sent to the candidate's Email Id and Mobile Number.

How to do payment with SBI e-pay system for DME recruitment?

  1. Final submission of the application candidate can find the payment gateway, where all the banks are present.
  2. Candidate must enter TSPSC Id and Date of Birth to enter into the payment system.
  3. Candidate can pay with Internet banking/Online/Credit Card/Debit Card etc.
