APPSC Recruitment 504 Lecturer Posts In Government Degree Colleges

The Andhra Pradesh government has issued recruitment notification for filling up of 504 Lecturers in the Government Degree Colleges in Andhra Pradesh through APPSC.

Age should be between 18 years to 42 years. The age relaxation is as per AP Government rules mentioned in the notification.

The scale of Pay: Rs. 15600 - Rs. 39100 with Rs. 6000 AGP revised UGC scales 2006.

Education Qualification:

  1. A candidate should have secured minimum 55% marks or its equivalent grade of B on the 7 point scale with letter grades O, A, B, C, D, E & F in their's Master Degree level.
  2. A candidate also should have passed the National Eligibility Test (NET ) for Lecturers conducted by UGC, CSIR, SLET or its equivalent tests conducted by Osmania University, Hyderabad or Andhra University, Visakhapatnam.
  • 5% marks relaxation will be provided for the categories of SC/ST/PH candidates for securing the marks from  55 % to 50%.
  • Another 5 % marks relaxation will be provided for the PhD, Degree holders, who have passed their Master's Degree prior to 19..09.1991 for securing the marks from 55% to 50%.

Rs. 250 for online application processing fee and Rs. 120 for Examination fee. 
The Examination fee is exempted for the categories of  SC, ST, BC, PH, Ex-servicemen, White card holder, Unemployed youth.

Examination scheme:

The examination will be conducted online based objective type test if the application received more than 25000. If not offline screening test will be conducted. From the offline screening test, the merit candidates will be sent to the Objective type online test.

NOTE: For each wrong answer will be penalised with 1/3rd of the marks prescribed for the question.

Examination centres are Vijayawada and Guntur only.

The procedure of Selection:

Offline examination (or) Online examination and Oral test (Interview)

  • If the screening test is conducted, the merit candidates will be called for the main examination in the ratio of 1:50. 
  • If the applicants are below 25000 every applicant eligible for the main online examination. 
  • From the main examination merit candidates called for Oral test (Interview) in the ratio of 1:2.

How to submit the online application for the post of lecturer in Government Degree Colleges?

  1. Before submitting the online application carefully read the user manual which is available on commissions website.
  2. First, every candidate must register their profile on APPSC OTPR Registration.
  3. Now, visit APPSC website, and log into your page by providing OTPR reference Id and Mobile Number. 
  4. After login candidate can find "online application submission" option. 
  5. Click on Make a payment option. Fill all the details and proceed to Payment Gateway.
  6. Payment can be done through Credit Card/Debit Card/Online payment. 
  7. After paying the fee Note down the Journal Number. 
  8. Next click on "Submit Application". Enter Jouranl Number along with the Date of birth and continue for filling the details. Now submit application.
  9. After successful submission of application, an Application ID will be generated
  10. Keep it for future reference.

Important Dates:

The online submission starts from 29.12.2016.
The last date of submission is 28.01.2017.
The main examination date likely to be on 06.06.2017.
