APSRTC SC ST Backlog Recruitment of 88 Officer and Trainee posts

Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) has issued recruitment notification for filling up of  certain Officers, Trainee, Jr. Assistants and other Administrative and Technical posts. These posts will be filled by APSRTC according to the SC, ST backlog vacancies only.  The eligible candidates can be applied for these posts mentioned below.

State Level:

  1. Officer under Training (General)
  2. Accounts Officer
  3. Medical Officer (Specialist)
  4. Security Sub Inspector 

Zonal Level:

  1. Deputy Superintendent (Mat)
  2. Mechanical Supervisor Trainee
  3. Traffic Supervisor Trainee
  4. Constable
  5. Junior Assistant (Material)
  6. Junior Assistant(Finance)
  7. Junior Assistant (Personnel)
  8. War Boy/ W. Girl
  9. Stenographer

Age and Qualification:

(Age is on 01.07.2016)

Accounts officer: 

Age must not be above 40 years. The education qualifications are must be an associate member of the institute of Chartered Accountant of India, New Delhi (OR) Associate member of the Institute of Cost & Works Accounts Of India, Calcutta.

In the case of Service candidates:

Must have MBA (Finance) from a recognised University. If the candidate is not available with the MBA (Finance) qualification, M.Com with accounts as one of the subject will be considered.

Officer Under Training (General):

Age should not be exceed 37 years.
The qualification for the post of Officer under Training (General) is a second class masters degree in any subject from a recognised university. (OR) Graduate in Law Securing II class from a recognised University by Law in India (OR) Graduate in Engineering.

Deputy Superintendent (Material):

Age must not above 35 years.
A Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Automobile Engineering or an equivalent qualification by AICTE. (OR) Graduate.
A One-year Diploma in Mechanical Managment / stores Management recognised by Department of HRD.

NOTE: Both above-mentioned qualifications are necessary.

Medical Officer (Specialist):

  • Age must not be exceed 45 years. Required qualification is a Graduate in Medicines (MBBS),
  • Must have completed one year rotatory internship (House surgeon)
  • Must be Registered (Permanent) with State Medical Council of AP or another state in India
  • Must be in possession of PG in the required speciality. (OR)
  • Must be in possession of a PG Diploma in the related clinical speciality for which the recruitment is conducted and the PG diploma must be recognised and approved by the MCI.

Security Sub Inspector:

Eligibility Criteria:

  1. Must be a graduate working in the security branch of APSRTC.
  2. Graduates working in AP Police Service (Civil, APSP) in the executive branch as police constables.
  3. Junior commissioned officers of Armed forces who are honourably discharged or retired from service and below 45 years of age.
  4. A graduated sports person represented AP State in the National in the last five years.
  5. A graduate who have NCC certificate.

  • Graduation
  • Height must not be less than 152.5 CMS and Weight must not be less than 45.5 Kgs.

Traffic Supervisor Trainee:
Age should not be exceeded by 35 years
Graduate from a  Recognized Univerisity.

Mechanical Supervisor Trainee:
Age must not be above 35 years and qualification is Diploma in Automobile / Mechanical Engineering conducted by the Department of Technical education. Higher qualification of BE/B.Tech.AMIE in Automobile/Mechanical engineering is also eligible.

Junior Assistant (Personnel, Finance and Material) :
Age should not be less than 40 years.
 Must be a graduate and passed the lower grade Government Techincal Examination either in English or Telugu Typewriting. Must be a commerce graduate for Finance post. Must possess a Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering or be a graduate.

Age for graduate must not greater than 37 years and for non-graduates must not be greater than 40 years.
Qualification must be SSC (10th Class) and must be passed a technical examination in shorthand by higher grade and typewriting by higher grade.

Ward boy / Ward girl :
Age should be between 18 years to 40 years. Qualifications are SSC and First Aid Certificate issued by St. John;s Ambulance Association.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)- For APSRTC constables:

Candidates who are applied for constable posts in APSRTC, they must be tested their physical efficiency by 5 events. Three events must be passed out of five events in order to qualify. The details are as follows for men and women separately:

  • 100 Meters run - For general 15 seconds- For ex-servicemen 16.5 seconds.
  • Long jump - 3.80 meters- 3.65 meters.
  • Shot put (7.26 kg) - 5.60 meters - 5.560 meters.
  • High jump - 1.20 metres - 1.05 meters.
  • 800 meters run - 170 seconds - 200 seconds.
  • 100 metres run - 18 seconds
  • Long Jump - 2.75 metres
  • Shot put (4 kgs) - 4.50 metres.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET) for SSIs (Female):

  • 100 metres run - 18 seconds
  • Long Jump - 2.75 metres
  • Shot put (4 kg) - 4.50 metres.

Pay Scale:

Rs. 36500 + 5500 Grade pay is the pay scale for the following three posts
Officer under Training (General)
Accounts officer
Medical Officer (Specialist)

Rs. 17710 - Rs. 51310 is the pay scale for the following four posts
Deputy Superintendent (mat)
Mechanical Supervisor Trainee
Security Sub Inspector
Traffic Supervisor Trainee

For the Constable post, pay scale is Rs. 12540 - Rs. 33480
Rs. 13880 - Rs. 36640 is the pay scale for the Junior Assistant (Material, Finance, Personnel) posts

Stenographer pay scale is Rs. 15000 - 41220
War Boy/ Ward girl pay scale is Rs. 11950 - 31450.

Application fee:

Rs. 200 is prescribed as the fee to be paid for each post through online.

Note: A candidate can apply more than one post duly paying the fee for each post through online payment mode only.

How to apply for APSRTC posts in recruitment?

  1. Candidates belong to SC, ST categories are eligible for the posts.
  2. A candidate should have been applied through online of APSRTC only. 
  3. A candidate should pay the application fee through online payment mode only (i.e. Net banking/Debit Card/Credit card). 
  4. If the fee payment is done in any other way will not be entertained. in any other mode On completing the banking payment process a 14 digit Transaction Id / Journal Number will be generated. 
  5. Using the Transaction Id/ Journal Number candidates shall log in to open the electronic application. Candidate should fill the application form carefully. 
  6. Before filling the application candidate should scan his/her photo with signature prescribed formats and keep ready.

How to scan Photograph and Signature for uploading into APPSC online?

  1. A candidate should paste his/her photograph on a white paper duly signed below the photograph with black ink.
  2. The Photograph dimensions are 3.5 cms x 4.5 cms (In pixels 413 * 531)  and for signature 3.5 cms x 1.5 cms (In pixels 413 * 177).
  3. The photograph size should not be more than 50kb and it must be in .jpg format only.
  4. Once you have done the procedure upload Photograph in application form clicking on the Choose File Button.

Once you have completed all the procedure you must take a print-out and keep for further procedure. No need send a hard copy to the APSRTC.
