AP Police Recruitment 4548 SCT AR Constable and Warder Posts

AP state Government has released recruitment notification of Constables and Warders posts through State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB). Applications are invited from the eligible candidates through SLPRB online submission from 03.08.2016 to 04.09.2016. The recruitment process will be completed by filling the constables and warders posts as Backlog and Direct Recruitment. Backlog vacancies have been filling with local candidates from the respective revenue districts only. Direct recruitment of 75% vacancies has been filling in the scheduled areas of  Stipendary Cadet Trainee (SCT) police constables (Civil).

  1. Stipendiary Cadet Trainee (SCT) Police Constables (Civil) (Men/Women) - 3216
  2. Stipendiary Cadet Trainee (AR) Police Constables (Men/Women) - 1067
  3. Warders (Male)in Prison and Correctional services Department - 240
  4. Warders (Female) in Prison and Correctional services Department - 25

Eligibility:

 SCT and AR constable posts men and women can apply.
Warder posts Men and Women must apply separately.

Scale of pay:

Rs.  16400 to Rs. 49870 for SCT and AR Constables and warder posts.

Age

SCT and AR constable posts:

  1. A candidate who is working as a Home Guard in the Police Department at least 360 days on grounds of 2 years should have age between 18 years to 30 years as on 01.07.2016.  
  2. In the case of others should have the age between 18 years to 22 years as on 01.07.2016.

Warder posts:

A candidate should have the age between 18 years to 30 years.

NOTE: 5 years of age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC. Other relaxation details can be found in the notification.

Fee structure:

Rs. 300/- for General (OC) and BCs. Rs. 150/- for SC and ST categories.


Education Qualification!

  • Intermediate or its equivalent examination recognised by the state government.
  • In the case of SC / ST, a candidate should have passed SSC or its equivalent examination recognised by the state government and must be studied intermediate examination in the 1st and 2nd year.
NOTE: A higher qualification is also be considered.

Physical Standards:

For the post of SCT and AR constables:

Men: 
  • Height must not be less than 167.6 cms
  • Chest must not be less than 86.3 cms round the chest on full inspiration with a minimum expansion of 5 cms.
Women:
Height and weight must not be less than 152.5 cms and 40 kgs.

NOTE: For the tribes who are living in the areas of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, EG and WG the following are the physical standards.


Men: Height must not be less than 160 cms. Chest must not be less than 80 cms with full expansion of 3 cms.
Women: Height and weight must not be less than 150 cms and 38 kgs.

For the post of Warder constables (Men):

  1.  Height should not be less than 168 cms and chest must not be less than 87 cms round the full inspiration with minimum expansion of 8 cms.
  2. In the case of Tribal Height should not be less than 164 cms and chest is 83 cms (Expansion of 5 cms).

For the post of Warder constables (Women):

Height and weight should not be less than 153 cms and 45.5 kgs

Medical Standards:

The visual standard is required. The Distant vision for Right Eye and Left Eye is (6/6). Near vision for Right Eye and Left Eye is (0/5).

How will the Selection Procedure be?

  1. A preliminary test will be conducted on OMR based objective type test for the constables and warders posts. 
  2. The duration of the test is 3 hours for 200 marks. 
  3. In order to qualify the examination OC category have to secure 45%  marks, BCs with 35% and SC/ST with 30%. 
  4. The questions will be objective type in the languages of English, Telugu and Urdu.  
  5. A candidate has to answer all the questions on OMR sheet. 
  6. The qualified candidate has intimated with a letter or else he/she can download an intimation letter from the SLPRB website for appearing in the Physical Measurement Test (PMT) / Physical Efficiency Test (PET). The PET details are also mentioned in the Notification.
  7. A candidate who qualified in both the Preliminary Test and PMT/PET test can have the Main examination.
  8. The final selection will be made on the basis of Main Exam marks and PET marks. The first 20 % posts will be filled by local and non-local and remaining 80% posts will be filled by local only.
Reservation:

Women have the reservation of 33 1/3 % of vacancies in each category. And others for government rules.
