Step-I: ________8

Multiply the last digit of the second number with the last digit of the first number.

6 x 3 = 18

Remember 1 in mind for further calculation.
Write 8 as final answer digit from the right side.

Step-II: _____88

Multiply the second digit of the first number with the last digit of the second number. And multiply the third digit of the first number with the second digit of the second number. Finally, add the remembered number with the both results of the multiplications.

6 x 2 + 5 x 3 = 27 + (1) reminder
                     = 28
Remember 2 for further calculation.
Write 8 as the final answer second digit from the right side.

Step-III:  _____588

Multiply the first digit of the first number with the last digit of the second number.
9 x 6 = 54

Multiply the second digit of the first number with  the second digit of the second number.

5 x 2 = 10

And multiply the third digit of the first number with the first digit of the second umber.
3 x 3 = 9

Add three results one to another.

9 x 6 + 5 x 2 + 3 x3 = 73 + (2) remembered number from the previous calculation
                                  = 75
Remember 7 for further calculation.

Write 5 as final answer third digit from the right side.

Step-IV: ___8588

Multiply the first digit fo the first number  with the second digit of the second number

5 x 9.

Multiply the second digit of the first number with the first digit of the second number.

5 x 9 + 3 x2 = 51

Add remembered number to result
 5 x 9 + 3 x 2 = 51 + (7) remembered number
                       = 58

Remember 5 for further calculation
Write 8 as the final answer result fourth digit from the right side.

Step-V:  328588

Multiply the first digit of the first number with the first digit of the second number.

3 x 9 = 27
Add remembered number  5 to this result.

3 x 9 = 27 + (5)
      = 32

Write 32 as final answer result digit from the right side.

The final answer is 328588

This is the shortcut method for solving the multiplication of 3 digit number with 3 digit number in competitive exams.
