Subtractions
Subtractions are very tough to solve. But we can solve it with using a special method for calculating subtractions in competitive examinations.  Subtracting numbers  in writing line by line is a common method, as shown in the picture. It is a common method that we already knew.
In competitive examinations, the common method will not be worked. Subtracting numbers in writing side by side is a key method for subtractions in competitive exams. The Paperwork should not be used here. Subtraction questions are more important in competitive exams. More questions will come from this section. A non-background mathematical student can also do the subtractions very speedy with accurate. While doing subtractions, remaining numbers should keep in mind for further calculation. As like in the Additions.

Shortcut method for subtractions

For example, I am taking two numbers for Subtraction

96321 and 37868

96321 - 37868 = ?

In subtraction, we should subtract numbers from greater to lower.

Step I: 96321 - 37868 =              3

Subtract from the last digit of the first number to the last digit of the second number. Subtracting from '8' to '1' however, it is not possible. It should be borrowed '1' from the second digit of the first number. Then it will become '11'. When subtracting these digits from '11' to '8'. The answer comes '3'. Write '3' number as the last digit of the final result of the subtraction.

Step II: 96321 - 37868 =       53

Now, subtract the second digit of the first number to the second digit of the second number. It should be borrowed  '1' from the third digit of the first number. Then it will become '11'. When subtracting these digits from '11' to '6'. The answer comes 5. Write '5' number as the second digit of a final result of the subtraction.

Step III: 96321 - 37868 =     453

Now, subtract the third digit of the first number to the third digit of the second number. It should be borrowed '1' from the fourth digit of the first number. Then it will become '12'. When subtracting these digits from  '12' to '8'. The answer comes 4. Write '4' number as the third digit of the final result of the subtraction.

Step IV: 96321 - 37868 =     8453

Now, subtract the fourth digit of the first number to the fourth digit of the second number. It should be borrowed '1' from the fourth digit of the first number. Then it will become '15'.  When subtracting these digits from '15' to '7'. The answer comes '8'. Write '8' number as the fourth digit of the final result of subtraction.

Step V: 96321 - 37868 =    58453

Now, subtract the fifth digit of the first number to the fifth digit of the second number. Need not borrowing a digit from the first number. When subtracting these digits from '8'  to '3'. The answer comes '5'. Write '5' digit as the final result of the subtraction.

Now the steps are completed:   96321 - 37868 = 58453

By following these steps, subtraction calculations will be done in a speedy way.
